Zoom kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Thunder Struck - ACDC. Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Buddi Zoom!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Vincent Wallace!
The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Steve Erwin and Skip Squint.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zoom fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Zoom doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Wallace cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Zoom is trying hard to land a takedown here. Wallace sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Buddi Zoom. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Wallace fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Zoom manages to avoid it.

Zoom uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Wallace.
Zoom fails with the takedown
and Wallace counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Zoom drives through with a takedown into Wallace's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Wallace can do anything to dispel that myth.
Wallace wants to stand but Zoom is controlling the position.

Zoom scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Wallace really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Zoom. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Wallace keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.

Zoom has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Wallace defend it? Zoom steps over the head and cranks it - Wallace is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Zoom!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:25 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Buddi Zoom!
Buddi Zoom decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
