Kiyoshi is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by I Walk Alone. The key to victory for Stephen Hawking has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hawking shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Kiyoshi connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Hawking uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Kiyoshi has time to react.
Kiyoshi should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Stephen Hawking seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Kiyoshi decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Hawking's guard.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Stephen Hawking. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Hawking will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Hawking wants to control but Kiyoshi passes easily into half guard.

Takeo Kiyoshi opened up his post fight interview with a scream to camera that he wants a title shot! Whether he deserves the shot will be up to the management of the organization, so I guess he'll have to wait and see.
