The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kyshenko shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

It looks like Viktor Kyshenko has been cut.
Kyshenko looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Bird connects with a body shot that sends Kyshenko's belly button to the back.
Nice uppercut lands for Bird. That snapped Kyshenko's head back.
Bird changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.

Bird throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
A solid leg kick lands there for Bird.
Bird ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Bird is looking to clinch.

Bird moves into range and clinches up with Kyshenko.

Bird breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Bird cracks Kyshenko with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Bird has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Kyshenko to stand back up!

Kyshenko wants to stand and escape but instead Bird has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Bird is looking to work some ground and pound but Kyshenko has wrist control.

Kyshenko has momentary wrist control but Bird slips an elbow through the middle.

Bird throws a big elbow that misses.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Bird is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Bird is pushing down on Kyshenko's leg trying to pass to half guard. Kyshenko is fighting to maintain full guard but Bird has managed to sneak the leg through.

Bird seems to be looking for submissions.
Bird lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Kyshenko quite badly. Kyshenko pulls Bird in close trying to recover. Bird postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Kyshenko on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Kyshenko doesn't seem to be complaining too much.
