The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Araujo with a poor takedown

and Juana counters with a takedown into side control.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Juana controls the position.
Araujo wants to control but Juana postures up.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Araujo is trying to push Juana away but Juana has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Juana throws a series of punches but Araujo avoids them all with ease.

Juana feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Araujo wriggles free and stands up.

Juana shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Araujo pinned against the cage. Araujo gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Juana will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Juana stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Araujo to get to his feet.

Juana is working for the choke. I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged Araujo with him. Araujo is trying to defend but Juana has an arm under the chin now! Araujo grimaces and is forced to tap out!
