The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kontsinen wants to clinch
and Abbot counters with a left to the body.
No joy there for Abbot, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Tank Abbot seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kontsinen tries to clinch but Abbot moves away
and Abbot counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

It looks like Mikko Kontsinen has been cut.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Abbot scores with a hook to the body. Kontsinen takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Kontsinen looks winded!
Abbot looks to throw the jab but Kontsinen is out of range.

Abbot feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Kontsinen sprawling to the canvas! Kontsinen rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Abbot finish him?!
Abbot lands an uppercut, right on the button! Kontsinen tumbles backwards into the cage, staring vacantly into space! He's got no idea where he is, who he is or what day it is... Poor guy.
