The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Landry keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Helmsly swats away the attempt to clinch by Landry.
Helmsly misses with a double jab.
Landry tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Helmsly paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Helmsly tries to land a front kick but Landry steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Landry throws a right and a left that Helmsly avoids nicely.

Helmsly closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Landry did well to prevent Helmsly getting side control.

Helmsly escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Landry gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
