Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jedi Knight (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shinobi Raizen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Knight comes to the ring accompanied by Why Can't We be Friends. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jedi Knight!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Shinobi Raizen!
The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Aleksandr Martynov and Dmitry Maklakov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Raizen doesn't manage to clinch there - Knight circles away.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Knight looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Raizen with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Raizen moves into full guard.

Raizen is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Knight defends well.
Raizen is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Raizen had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Knight defends it easily.

Raizen has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Knight can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Knight is looking to take a break and control but Raizen is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Raizen is wriggling around trying to escape.
Raizen manages to regain half guard. Good work.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Raizen can do anything to dispel that myth.

Knight is nestled in close to Raizen, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Raizen pushes Knight off looking to stand but Knight dives back in and keeps control.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Knight connects with a nice short shot to Raizen's temple.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Shinobi Raizen's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Jedi Knight!
Our winner, Jedi Knight, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
