Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between John Darnielle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bv Rasp (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Darnielle throws an off balance right hand
and Rasp counters with a solid body kick.
Darnielle misses with a jab, cross combination.
Darnielle throws a series of punches but Rasp avoids them all with ease.
Darnielle lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Darnielle throws the left hand but Rasp avoids the punch easily.

Rasp darts in and clinches Darnielle up against the cage.
Rasp jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Darnielle walks away with a smile on his face. Rasp gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Rasp fails with a takedown attempt.
The fighters circle momentarily. Darnielle darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Rasp manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Darnielle gets to his feet. Rasp looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
The fight stays on the outside here - Darnielle looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Rasp has a takedown stuffed.
Darnielle cracks Rasp with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Rasp is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Darnielle doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Rasp.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Darnielle holds on and takes a little breather.

Rasp is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Darnielle is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Darnielle has escaped and now he's on top!

Rasp is looking for a triangle but Darnielle pushes his legs off easily.
Darnielle wanted to stand there but Rasp had control of the position.

Darnielle throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Rasp shoots in looking for a takedown. Darnielle tries to sprawl out of it but Rasp keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Darnielle manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

John Darnielle seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Darnielle throws a right and a left that Rasp avoids nicely.
Rasp finds himself stumbling back on wobbly legs after being clipped by a right hand. He's up against the cage, ducking and weaving under Darnielle's strikes but an uppercut finds it's way through and Rasp falls! - He's completely out of it and the ref jumps in to save him!
