Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Will Turner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ramsey Hidjen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Will Turner has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Will Turner!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ramsey Hidjen!
The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Paul Aken and Daniel Blasius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Turner moves in looking to clinch but Hidjen pushes him off.
Turner throws a chopping leg kick but Hidjen manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Turner throws a right and a left that both miss.
Hidjen with a nice cross.
Hidjen misses with a double jab

and Turner decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Hidjen's guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Turner stops Hidjen from standing up.
Hidjen can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Turner controls the pace.
Hidjen is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Turner is controlling him.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Turner is stalling in the full guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Will Turner wasn't doing enough on the ground.

Turner rushes Hidjen and presses him up against the cage.

A battle for position here, against the cage.
Turner wants to break free but Hidjen has control.
Turner could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Hidjen is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Turner is keeping busy.
Hidjen wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Hidjen tries to break free but Turner pushes him back against the cage.
Hidjen connects with a nasty looking knee right to Turner's face.


It looks like Will Turner has been cut.
Turner lands a left hand that snaps the head of Hidjen backwards.

Turner jumps guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Turner bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Hidjen's guard.
Hidjen wants to stand but Turner is controlling the position.
Turner loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Turner is looking to work some ground and pound but Hidjen has wrist control.
Turner pushing down on Hidjen's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Turner lands with a punch from half guard.
Hidjen looks like he's trying to stand up.
Ground and pound from Turner.
Turner throwing shots but Hidjen is blocking nicely.
Turner passes the guard and advances to mount!
Hidjen wants to try and get back to his feet.

Turner scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Turner controlling his opponent.

Turner is standing up, even though he is in mount.
Turner misses with a double jab.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Hidjen lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Hidjen scores with a jab to the body.
Hidjen is looking to clinch.
Ramsey Hidjen is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Turner keeps the fight on the outside.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Hidjen is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Hidjen fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Turner.
Hidjen throws the kick towards the body but Turner avoids it.
Hidjen tries to clinch but Turner moves out of range.
Turner circles away from the clinch attempt.
Hidjen tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Hidjen throws a nice outside leg kick.
Ramsey Hidjen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hidjen tries to clinch there but Turner circles away.
Turner shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Hidjen but Hidjen pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Turner is breathing heavily.
Hidjen throws a right hand that Turner ducks under and follows up with a left that Turner also avoids with ease.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Will Turner will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Will Turner's cut.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Hidjen lands with an overhand left.
Hidjen tries to clinch
and Turner counters with a body kick that stops Hidjen in his tracks momentarily.
Turner misses with a two punch combination.
Hidjen tries to close the distance and clinch but Turner swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Hidjen will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Hidjen misses with an attempted mid kick.
Hidjen moves in looking to clinch but Turner pushes him off.
Hidjen lands with a straight right. Turner didn't see that one coming.
Turner tries a head kick but it misses.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Hidjen enables Turner to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Hidjen manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Hidjen is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Hidjen is breathing heavily.
Turner is stalling in the full guard.
Turner has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

That's one minute gone in the round.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Turner might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

We're going to have a standup here because Will Turner wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Hidjen tries to clinch up.

Turner manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Hidjen on his heels. He'll look to pass Hidjen's guard now, I'm sure.
Turner is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Turner advances to half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Turner winds up and cracks Hidjen with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Turner works his foot free and advances to mount.
Hidjen's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
BOOM! Turner connects with a massive shot to the dome!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Turner sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Hidjen is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Turner is landing with some decent strikes but Hidjen is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Turner lands a nice shot to the head.
Hidjen really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Turner. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Hidjen squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.
Turner takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Hidjen is trying to stand but he's not in a good position to be doing that! Turner has taken his back!

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Turner is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.
Hidjen is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Hidjen is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Turner sinks in the hooks and is looking for the choke. He's got it! Hidjen taps out!
