Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Martin Philippe Njewel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dante Gael Roman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dante Gael Roman will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Chris Downing and Robert Twigg.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Njewel closes the distance and clinches.
A nice right hand lands inside from Njewel.
Njewel just leaning against Roman, taking a breather.
Njewel misses with the head strike.
Njewel working aggressively here.
Roman is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Roman is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Njewel gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Roman is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Njewel can't fight it off and eventually Roman manages to take the fight to the floor. Njewel looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Roman slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

Roman pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Njewel is keeping the position for now.

Njewel might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Martin Philippe Njewel wasn't doing enough on the ground.
A telegraphed right hand from Njewel misses the target.
Njewel rushes in with a sloppy looking punch

and Roman counters with a shoot takedown. Njewel fights it but they end up in guard.
Roman is looking to pass into half guard but Njewel pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Njewel is in guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Roman is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Martin Philippe Njewel just wasn't active enough.
Roman takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

Njewel tries to clinch but Roman moves out of range.
Njewel swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Roman moves out of range as Njewel strikes.
Njewel displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Roman.
Njewel cracks Roman with an open hand slap.

Roman closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Roman has Njewel pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Njewel manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Martin Philippe Njewel has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dante Gael Roman.
Njewel digs a right hand underneath Roman's ribcage. Roman let out a lung full of air as it connected.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Njewel misses with a short punch on the inside.
Njewel content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Njewel throws a punch but it's blocked by Roman.
Roman pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
Njewel lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Njewel lands a left hand that snaps the head of Roman backwards.
Njewel prevents the takedown attempt.

Roman gets a trip takedown into half guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Roman stalling away here and it's allowed Njewel to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.
Roman looking to sit in guard and control but Njewel gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Dante Gael Roman will probably get the nod.
That's time! Njewel's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Jab, jab by Njewel - just one landing.
Njewel misses with a right hand
and Roman counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Roman ducks right into an uppercut from Njewel.
Roman tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Njewel paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Roman connects with a right hand. Njewel shakes it off.
Roman throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Njewel counters with a nice uppercut.

Roman is rocked!
Njewel drops Roman with a big left hand! Roman is injured, injured bad! Njewel jumps in and finished him with strikes! The fight is over!
