The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pegas defending well as McCaned loads up on a big left hand.
Pegas lands a leg kick that knocks McCaned off balance momentarily.
Pegas slips under a jab from McCaned.
McCaned blocks a head kick by Pegas.
Pegas moves out of range as McCaned strikes.
McCaned throws a low kick but Pegas moves out of range easily.
The fighters circling - Pegas throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Pegas walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. McCaned checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

McCaned lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Pegas backwards.
Pegas tries to land a knee to the head but McCaned blocks with his arms.

McCaned throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.

Pegas fails with an attempt to clinch.
McCaned dodges the punch combination from Pegas.

McCaned thows a left - swing and a miss!
Pegas lets loose with a powerful body kick. McCaned will feel that in the morning.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
McCaned moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.

It looks like Jon Pegas has been cut.
McCaned throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Pegas's head.
McCaned on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Pegas swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
McCaned moves out of range of the body kick from Pegas.
Pegas throws a hook to the side of McCaned's head but McCaned sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Pegas moves in looking to clinch but McCaned pushes him off.
McCaned missing with a left hand there. Pegas was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
McCaned connects with an inside leg kick.
McCaned walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

McCaned throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.

and McCaned counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

The cut above Stoney McCaned's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
McCaned takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
McCaned on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Pegas tries to clinch but McCaned is having none of it.
McCaned throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Pegas sees it coming and avoids it easily.
McCaned throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Pegas.

McCaned misses with the head strike.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Pegas just misses with a elbow thrown towards McCaned's brow.
McCaned doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
McCaned avoids a wild elbow strike from Pegas.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for McCaned.

Pegas misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from McCaned.
Pegas using the Thai plumb to throw knees but McCaned has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
McCaned tries a body shot but Pegas blocks it.

McCaned has a couple of punches blocked by Pegas.
Pegas throws an elbow but it misses.
Pegas putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has McCaned in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body.
McCaned looks winded!
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Pegas gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
Pegas pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
Pegas comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.

Stoney McCaned's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Stoney McCaned's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
