Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between David Currie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mason Dixie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Currie comes to the cage accompanied by Helmet - Just Another Victim. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 24 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, David Currie!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 24 - 11 - 2, fighting out of Sydney, Mason Dixie!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Currie thows a body shot but no joy.
Dixie feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Currie's calf.
Dixie throws a leg kick but Currie moved away.
Dixie tests Currie's chin there with a solid looking shot.
A nice inside leg kick there by Dixie. That's going to slow Currie down.
Dixie throws a big shot that misses.
Currie has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Dixie.
Currie uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Dixie.
Dixie throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Currie dives in and grabs Dixie's left leg, looking for a takedown. Dixie pushes down on Currie's head and hops out.

Dixie just misses with a punch to the body.

Dixie dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Currie. That did some damage!
Currie is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Dixie.
Currie darts in and out, connecting with a jab.

Currie rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Dixie moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Dixie connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.

Currie uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Dixie has time to react.
Dixie throws a series of punches but Currie moves out of range.
Dixie throws a hook but Currie blocks it.

Dixie gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.

Currie lands with a hook. Dixie tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Currie lands a really nice looking cross but Dixie seems unphased.

Currie is thwarting Dixie's attempts to control the position.

Currie throws a strike but Dixie rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Currie keeping moving, preventing Dixie from controlling successfully.

A close round but Mason Dixie will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Dixie connects with a leg kick. Currie looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.

Currie is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Currie throws a lazy right hand but Dixie sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Currie throws an overhand right that lands on Dixie's shoulder, as Dixie tries to avoid the shot.
A nice inside leg kick there by Dixie. That's going to slow Currie down.
Currie shoots in and drives through. Dixie sprawls well.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Dixie does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Mason Dixie showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

The referee warns Dixie that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Dixie wants to hold on but Currie pushes him away.

David Currie overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Currie connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Currie lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Dixie is looking to improve his position but Currie isn't that keen on the idea.

Currie postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Dixie looks a forlorn figure.

Dixie is looking for a sweep. Currie is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
David Currie has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Currie seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Dixie does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
