The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mic displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Sirbu.

Mic shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Mic chips away with some ground and pound.
Sirbu really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Mic. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Sirbu is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Mic is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Mic got a little sloppy there for a moment and Sirbu has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Mic has managed to get both his arms back between Sirbu's legs - danger averted.

Mic stands up from guard. Let's bang!

Mic closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Mic lands in his opponent's guard.

Sirbu tries to lock up and control but Mic gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Mic is dominating on the ground here - he's now on his opponent's back, looking to sink in the hooks. Sirbu is in real trouble.
Sirbu is in a world of trouble here. He's outmatched on the ground here and he'd better get Mic off his back sharpish unless he wants to be submitted.

Sirbu is trying to defend against the choke here but Mic has an arm under his chin. This one might not last much longer. Mic Tightens the hold and Sirbu taps out furiously! Mic displays superior BJJ to win the fight.
