The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rekdal doesn't manage to clinch there - Silva circles away.
No joy there for Silva, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Rekdal rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Silva counters with a three punch combo that has Rekdal backing up. Rekdal nods at Silva to acknowledge the strikes.
Rekdal misses with a straight right.
Silva misses with a left hand

and Rekdal counters by clinching up.
Rekdal misses with a punch to the body.

Rekdal breaks from the clinch.
Rekdal jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Rekdal uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Silva.
Rekdal looks to land a left hand but Silva moved out of range nicely.
Rekdal misses with a right hand
letting Silva counter with a right hand.

It looks like Thorbjorn Rekdal has been cut.
Rekdal takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Silva tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Rekdal was well out of range. Poor timing from Silva.

and Silva counters with a nice uppercut.
Rekdal tries to clinch up but Silva circles away and keeps his distance.

Silva lands a big right hand that sends Rekdal crashing to the mat! Silva stays standing though and waves Rekdal back to his feet!

Silva takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Silva thows a body shot but no joy.
Silva throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Rekdal sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Rekdal throws a looping overhand right but Silva ducks down to avoid it.
Silva cracks Rekdal with a good jab.

Silva lands with a right hand.
Rekdal is still on wobbly legs! Can Silva finish him?
Silva tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Rekdal seems to have recovered his senses.
Silva scores with a jab to the body.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Silva scores with a sloppy right hand. Rekdal should have avoided that one.
Rekdal takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Rekdal fails to land with a series of punches.

Rekdal throws a hook but Silva avoids it easily.
Rekdal takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Rekdal tries to clinch but Silva moves out of range.
Silva lands with a right and another and another! Rekdal is in big trouble! Silva lands again and this time it's lights out for Rekdal! A quality knockout there for Silva.
