Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Luta Livre (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alec Jaquillard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Alec Jaquillard is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Livre misses with a series of wild punches.
Livre tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Jaquillard is able to avoid easily.

Jaquillard feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Jaquillard drops back looking for a leg! Livre is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Livre manages to kick Jaquillard off! Jaquillard jumps back into Livre's guard.

Jaquillard had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Livre defends it easily.

Livre has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Jaquillard can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Jaquillard got a little sloppy there for a moment and Livre has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Jaquillard has managed to get both his arms back between Livre's legs - danger averted.

Jaquillard stands up over his opponent, looking to dive in with a big punch. Here he comes, superman style! Oh, the punch misses and Livre has got him in a triangle choke for good measure! Oh no! Jaquillard manages to get his head free but now Livre has transitioned to an armbar! Jaquillard grimaces and is forced to tap! Beautiful Jiu Jitsu from Livre! I'd be surprised if that didn't end up as submission of the night!
