PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Syd Datsik (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dale Scullion (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Datsik comes to the cage accompanied by Let The Rhythm Hit Em. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Scullion tries to grapple but his opponent circles

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Datsik wants to get up but he can't break Scullion's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

That was a close round but I would say that Syd Datsik will probably get the nod.

Scullion darts in and clinches Datsik up against the cage.

Some bone on bone action there as Datsik checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.

Scullion shoots in looking for a takedown. Datsik tries to sprawl out of it but Scullion keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Datsik manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Scullion changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Datsik tries to avoid it but Scullion manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Datsik to the ground. Datsik escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Datsik is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Datsik, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
