The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Russell Pearce and Jorge Garcia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alexander lands a high kick!
Anderson throws a series of punches but Alexander avoids them all with ease.
Alexander showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Anderson.

Alexander tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Anderson closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Anderson lands in his opponent's guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Alexander has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Anderson can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Alexander tries to move into range but Anderson moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Anderson fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Alexander looks to land a combination but Anderson avoids it well.

Anderson connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Anderson ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Alexander moves away.
Anderson moves into range and throws a big uppercut. OH! Alexander goes down! Can Anderson finish him!?
Alexander is rocked!
Anderson distracts Alexander with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Alexander is still in real trouble! Can Anderson finish him?
Anderson gets to his feet and stands over Alexander, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Alexander felt that one! Anderson unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Alexander from any more punishment!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Austin Anderson!
