Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Paul Gray (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anderson Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Anderson Silva will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gray tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Silva paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Silva throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Gray.
Gray tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Silva manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Silva throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Silva leaves Gray with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Gray lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.

Silva throws a right and a left that Gray avoids nicely.
Gray gets caught by a brutal right hook which buckles his knees! Gray tries to backpedal with his spaghettilegs but Silva is headhunting and goes for the kill. A jab and a right hook connect and Gray buckles badly as his eyes roll back. The referee steps in and saves Gray!! Gray is complaining but he was clearly out on his feet. Silva throws his mouthpiece into the crowd. Mmmm spit-tastic.

Anderson Silva opened up his post fight interview with a scream to camera that he wants a title shot! Whether he deserves the shot will be up to the management of the organization, so I guess he'll have to wait and see.
