Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Josh Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ovca Namjera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Johnson comes to the cage accompanied by Straight Outta Compton. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Josh Johnson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ovca Namjera!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Namjera defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Johnson.
The fight stays on the outside here - Johnson looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Namjera throws a nice looking combination but Johnson bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Namjera's corner calls for a 1-2. Namjera obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

Namjera closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Johnson's guard.
Namjera with a flurry of punches that miss.
Namjera stands and throws Johnson's legs to the side, diving into side control.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Namjera looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Johnson kicks off Namjera and gets to his feet.

Namjera drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Namjera looking to sit in guard and control but Johnson gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Namjera wants to sweep but no luck.
Namjera is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Johnson is controlling him.

Namjera bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Johnson's guard.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Johnson is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Namjera is aware though and is defending well.

Johnson is working for a kimura but Namjera is defending it quite comfortably.
Johnson takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Namjera wants to get back to full guard.

Namjera regains full guard. Nicely done.

Johnson stands up and waves to Namjera to follow him.
Johnson doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Namjera counters with a three punch combo that has Johnson backing up. Johnson nods at Namjera to acknowledge the strikes.

Namjera shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Johnson manages to work his way to half guard, despite Namjera's best efforts.

Namjera shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Johnson manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Ovca Namjera decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
