Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tero Torvela (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Denis Turk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Tero Torvela has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Torvela leaves Turk with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Torvela rushes Turk and presses him up against the cage.
Turk tries to pull guard but Torvela forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Torvela is looking to control Turk's arms but Turk gets an underhook and turns him. Now Torvela has his back to the cage.
Turk wants to break free but Torvela has control.
Torvela is looking for a takedown.

Turk manages to break the clinch.
Turk attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Torvela wants to clinch but Turk slips to the side
and Turk counters with a right hand to the body.
Torvela is breathing heavily.
Turk misses the shot to the body.

Turk throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Torvela tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Turk is in Torvela's guard.

Turk goes for a takedown attempt but Torvela pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Turk dives in and grabs Torvela's left leg, looking for a takedown. Torvela pushes down on Turk's head and hops out.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Torvela is trying to drag Turk to the mat but Turk just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Torvela is trying to pull guard but Turk turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Turk throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Turk winds up and cracks Torvela with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Turk working over Torvela with some ground and pound. Torvela looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.

Turk seems to be working for a kimura but Torvela defends the submission attempt.
Turk perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Turk is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.

Turk shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

A punch lands to the side of Torvela 's head but he takes it in his stride.

Turk tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Torvela swivels and escapes.

Turk looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Torvela looks like he's trying to stand up.
Turk throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Denis Turk hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Torvela shoots in looking for a takedown. Turk tries to sprawl out of it but Torvela keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Turk manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Turk feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
