The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Andrew Berry and Sam Margolis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barnes throws a nice inside leg kick.
Barnes avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Barnes tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Kirijenko was well out of range. Poor timing from Barnes.
Kirijenko tries to score with a low kick but Barnes moves his leg out of the way.
Kirijenko misses with a two punch combination.
Kirijenko tries to close the distance and clinch but Barnes swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Kirijenko shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

Kirijenko misses with a leg kick
and Barnes counters with a nice low kick that buckles Kirijenko's knee momentarily.

Kirijenko ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Barnes moves away.
Barnes moves out of range of the leg kick from Kirijenko.

Kirijenko avoids the head kick by Barnes.
Barnes throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Barnes tries to clinch but Kirijenko is having none of it.
Kirijenko shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Barnes as he jumps to the side.
Barnes swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Kirijenko wants to land a leg kick but Barnes is out of range.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Barnes throws a nice inside leg kick.
Kirijenko's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Barnes connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Kirijenko scrambles back to his feet.
Barnes thuds his right hand into Kirijenko's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

The fight stays on the outside here - Kirijenko looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Barnes throws a leg kick but Kirijenko moved away.
Barnes cracks Kirijenko with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Barnes has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Kirijenko to stand back up!

Lyov Kirijenko seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kirijenko shoots in and drives through. Barnes sprawls well.
Nate Barnes has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lyov Kirijenko.
Barnes fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Kirijenko manages to avoid it.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Kirijenko throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.

Kirijenko displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Barnes throws out the jab.
Barnes throws a right hand that Kirijenko ducks under and follows up with a left that Kirijenko also avoids with ease.

Barnes is staying active underneath Kirijenko, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Lyov Kirijenko hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Barnes tests Kirijenko's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Barnes uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Kirijenko.
Barnes keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
