Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kanki Onki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shael Connen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Connen has chosen Rock You Like a Hurricane as his entrance music. Kanki Onki has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

With a record of 11 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Shael Connen!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Radbod Blank and Nard Betker.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Onki closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Connen's guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Connen scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Connen misses with a wild combination.
A head kick misses from Connen.
Onki tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Connen fails with a takedown attempt.
Connen doesn't manage to clinch there - Onki circles away.
Connen shoots and misses
and Onki finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.
Connen is trying hard to land a takedown here. Onki sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Kanki Onki has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Shael Connen.

Onki closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Onki blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Connen is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Onki turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
Connen wants to get back to his feet.
Connen looks winded!

Onki has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

Onki changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Connen looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Onki has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Connen is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Onki yanks on the arm and Connen is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Onki.
