The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marques has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Lifflander finds it's way round the side to connect with Marques's head.
Marques tries to close the distance and clinch but Lifflander swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Marques is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Marques shoots in for a takedown but Lifflander shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Marques moves out of range of the body kick.
Lifflander slips a jab and a cross from Marques.
Marques showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Lifflander.
Marques shoots in looking for a takedown. Lifflander tries to sprawl out of it but Marques keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Lifflander manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Lifflander misses with the combination.
Lifflander lets his hands go wild with a nice combination. Left! Right! Uppercut! Spinning backfist! Marques goes down and covers up as Lifflander starts wailing on him! The ref watches the action closely before stepping in and putting a stop to the fight!
