Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sheikh Shafiqul Jony (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andreas Metzger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shafiqul Jony misses with a hook to the body

and Metzger counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Metzger engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.

Metzger drops back looking for a leg! Shafiqul Jony is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Shafiqul Jony manages to kick Metzger off! Metzger jumps back into Shafiqul Jony's guard.

Metzger gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Shafiqul Jony takes a swing at Metzger's ribcage but misses.
Shafiqul Jony moves out of range of the strikes.
Sheikh Shafiqul Jony is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Metzger closes the distance and clinches up with Shafiqul Jony, looking for a takedown. Metzger pushes Shafiqul Jony against the cage but Shafiqul Jony circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Metzger shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Metzger is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Shafiqul Jony is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Shafiqul Jony flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Metzger anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Shafiqul Jony and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Metzger slips an arm under Shafiqul Jony chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Metzger has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Metzger is squeezing on Shafiqul Jony like an anaconda would it's prey. Shafiqul Jony fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
