The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Melo throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Macena throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Melo.
Macena throws a series of punches but Melo moves out of range.
Melo displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Macena.
Melo looks to land a right hand but Macena moved out of range.
Macena throws a series of strikes that have Melo backpedaling.
Macena shoots in for a takedown but Melo shows good takedown defense.
Melo thows a left - swing and a miss!
Melo looks to throw the jab but Macena is out of range.
Macena shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Melo as he jumps to the side.
Son Melo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Daniel Macena.
Melo throws a leg kick but Macena sees it coming and moves out of range.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Melo ducks down and throws a hook to the body.

Melo rushes Macena and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Melo manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Melo is trying to push Macena away but Macena has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Melo lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.

Melo lands a shot to the body.
Melo wants to get back to striking at distance but Macena won't allow it.
Melo scores with a shot to the side of Macena's head.
Melo lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Macena tries to circle away but Melo has him pinned against the cage.
Melo works on Macena's body with a couple of short punches.
Macena looks gassed!
Melo lands a nice shot to the body.
Melo lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Macena wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Melo gets through Macena's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Melo is pressed up against the cage. Macena has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Melo down to the mat. Melo avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Macena shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Melo but Melo pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Macena moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Macena ducks under a wild hook from Melo.
Macena throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Melo throws the left hand but Macena avoids the punch easily.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Melo scores with a nice strike.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Melo, as that shot connected.
Melo motions for Macena to come forward. Melo throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Melo throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Melo lands a lovely overhand right.
Macena uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Melo.
Macena misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Melo scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.

Macena is rocked!
Melo drops Macena with a straight right hand, right on the button! Melo follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!
