Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Philip Dale (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Me Gusta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dale comes to the cage accompanied by Donald Duck Theme Tune . Me Gusta will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 39 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Philip Dale!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Me Gusta!
The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Paulo Santos and Alexandre Firmino.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dale ducks under a wild hook from Gusta.
Dale lands a leg kick that knocks Gusta off balance momentarily.
Dale scores with a body shot.
Dale drops his hands momentarily and Gusta takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.


It looks like Philip Dale has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Dale moves away from the strike by Gusta.
Dale ducks under a wild hook from Gusta.
Gusta falls off balance throwing a combination

and Dale counters by clinching up.
Gusta tries to pull guard but Dale won't allow it.
Gusta drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Dale gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Dale pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Dale misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Dale ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Gusta throws out a loose jab but Dale uses good head movement to avoid it.

Dale moves into the clinch.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Dale breaks from the clinch.
Dale blocks a jab.
Gusta comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Dale tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Dale scoring well with a low kick there.
Both fighters circling a little - Dale finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.

Dale moves into the clinch successfully.
Gusta is working for takedown but Dale is calmly controlling the position for now.
Philip Dale has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Me Gusta.
Dale is working Gusta over against the cage.
Gusta looks winded!

Gusta wants to break the clinch but can't.
Dale prevents Gusta from breaking the clinch.
Dale is leaning against Gusta and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.
Gusta jumps guard but Dale stands there with Gusta around his waist. Gusta gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Dale throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Gusta is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Dale gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Dale slowing the pace effectively.
Dale lands an elbow that stopped Gusta in his tracks for a moment.
Gusta avoids the elbow strike from Dale, against the cage.
Dale lands a right hand.


It looks like Me Gusta has been cut.
Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Dale.
Dale lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Dale lands a hook to the side of the head.

Dale pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Dale's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Gusta connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Dale scrambles back to his feet.
Dale ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Dale ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Dale fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Gusta, pushing him back against the cage.
Dale works on Gusta's body with a couple of short punches.
Dale lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Gusta takes an elbow to the temple.
Dale has Gusta pressed against the cage.
Dale gets a warning from the ref for wasting time.
Gusta is trying to push Dale away but Dale has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Dale obliges.
Dale's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Dale is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Gusta is defending well for now.
Dale lands with a left to the head.
Dale missing with knees to the body.
Dale lands a nice elbow from the clinch.
Gusta avoiding damage as Dale throws knees to the body.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Dale scores with a shoulder strike.


That has opened up Me Gusta's cut even more.
Dale lands an elbow just above Gusta 's eye.
Dale lands an uppercut.
Dale stalling.
Dale lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Dale keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Gusta's efforts to push away.
Dale lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Gusta backwards.

Dale breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Sloppy strikes from Gusta. Those never looked like landing.
Dale misses with a head kick.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Dale wants to clinch up but Gusta keeps it at a distance.
Dale throws an overhand right from the outside, which connects and sends Gusta stumbling backwards into the cage! Gusta bounces back off the cage towards Dale, who cracks him with a two punch combination that drops him to his knees! Dale lands two more shots before the referee has chance to intervene - what a finish! Dale celebrates with his corner as the crowd cheer loudly.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Philip Dale!
After winning the bout, Philip Dale thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
