Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Alex Shawn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cruz Vito (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shawn comes to the cage accompanied by I cant wait. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Alex Shawn!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Cruz Vito!
The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Thiago Cunha and Seu Braga.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vito fails with the takedown.
Vito closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Shawn quickly recovers to half guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Shawn wants to control but Vito is keeping busy.
Vito lands with a punch from half guard.
Vito scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Vito is nestled in close to Shawn, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Ground and pound from Vito.
Shawn is rocked!
Vito throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Oh Shawn is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Vito lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Vito thows a huge punch but Shawn dodges it nicely.
Shawn blocking the ground and pound attempt from Vito.
Vito throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Shawn seems to have got his legs back now.
Vito has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Shawn keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Vito not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Shawn has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Vito is working away from the top position though.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Shawn is trying to get back to full guard.

Vito winds up and cracks Shawn with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Vito looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Vito scores with a big shot! Shawn's head bounced off the canvas with a huge thud! More strikes land and the referee has jumped in to save Shawn! He was hurt real bad - good stoppage!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:43 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Cruz Vito!
During a confident post fight interview, Cruz Vito thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
