Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between One Datsik (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vik Kiv (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Datsik comes into the arena with Mortal Combat blaring out of the sound system. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Datsik has Kiv up against the cage in a clinch.
Datsik gets through Kiv's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Datsik crunches a lovely knee into Kiv's ribcage.
Datsik is trying to pull guard but Kiv has him pressed against the cage.
Datsik's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Datsik takes the fight into the clinch.
Kiv pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Kiv tries to close the distance and clinch but Datsik swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Kiv moves into the clinch.
Datsik tries a body shot but Kiv blocks it.
Kiv is trying to maintain a safe position but Datsik gets an underhook and turns Kiv into the cage.

Datsik has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Kiv uses from the top position.
Kiv advances position into side control!
You can see the frustration on Datsik's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Kiv has hold of Datsik's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Datsik tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Kiv cranks the arm and Datsik screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Datsik, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:19 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Vik Kiv!
