Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Anton Starikov!
The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Paulsen Ambrosius and Albert Achterberg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Starikov throws a head kick that misses.
Andre tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Starikov was well out of range. Poor timing from Andre.
Starikov throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Starikov throws a head kick that half lands.

A head kick from Starikov lands but Andre takes it in his stride.

and Andre counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

Andre shoots in for a double leg but Starikov sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Starikov moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Andre thows a body shot but no joy.
Andre throws a looping overhand right but Starikov ducks down to avoid it.
Starikov throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Andre fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Starikov wants to clinch.
Andre swats away the attempt to clinch by Starikov.
Starikov misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Andre shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Starikov is trying to defend but Andre finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Andre is trying to control. Starikov wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Andre wants to pass the guard but Starikov is defending well.

Andre is working for a kimura but Starikov is defending it quite comfortably.
Starikov pushes Andre off looking to stand but Andre dives back in and keeps control.

Andre is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Andre content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Starikov pushes Andre off looking to stand but Andre dives back in and keeps control.

Andre wants to work for an arm triangle but Starikov is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Andre seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Starikov does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Andre wants to take a breather but Starikov is having none of it.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Andre is pressing down on Starikov's thigh, looking to free his foot. Starikov is holding on for now.

Andre is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Starikov is just riding it out for now. Andre eventually gives up the hold.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Starikov kicks off Andre and gets to his feet.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Starikov.
Andre takes a swing at Starikov's ribcage but misses.

Andre closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Starikov's guard.

Andre is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Starikov is looking to stand up but Andre isn't so interested in that idea.
Andre trying to control the position from guard on top but Starikov is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Starikov kicks Andre off and gets to his feet.
Anton Starikov is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Andre swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Starikov throws a combination. Andre tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Starikov looks winded!
Andre fails to land with a series of punches.
Andre tries to land a leg kick but Starikov saw it coming and moves away.
A head kick misses from Starikov.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Starikov throws a head kick that half lands.
Starikov avoids the body shot from Andre.
Starikov connects with a crisp jab.
Starikov takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

A close round but Anton Starikov will probably get the nod.

Andre throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Starikov tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Andre is in Starikov's guard.

Starikov pushes Andre off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.

Starikov throws a sloppy head kick and Andre moves out of range easily.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Starikov wants to clinch up but Andre keeps it at a distance.

Starikov dips to his left and cracks Andre with an uppercut!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Andre shoots in for a takedown but Starikov shows good takedown defense.

Anton Starikov is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Starikov is breathing heavily.
Andre bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Starikov's head backwards.

Andre takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Starikov closes the distance and pushes Andre back into the cage.
Andre jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Starikov walks away with a smile on his face. Andre gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Starikov lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

Andre shoots in looking for a takedown but Starikov manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Andre's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Anton Starikov showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!


Andre throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Andre keeps the fight on the outside.
Andre looks to land a left hand but Starikov moved out of range nicely.

Andre bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Andre has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Andre misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Andre is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Starikov is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Andre is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Starikov has escaped the position, nice work there.

Starikov is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Andre is controlling him well.

Andre seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Starikov for as long as he can get away with.

Jean Louis Andre overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Andre is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Starikov will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

Starikov pushes Andre away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Andre gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Anton Starikov is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Starikov is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Andre has just dragged him back down to the mat.

And that's the end of the fight!

I think Starikov has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
