Pitney shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Pitney was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Pitney moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Taylor has worked his arm free - good work by Taylor!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Taylor sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Taylor is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Pitney is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Pitney is looking to stall here but Taylor recovers full guard.

Pitney is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Taylor is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Taylor has escaped and now he's on top!
Taylor wants to stand but Pitney is controlling his posture from full guard.

Pitney has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Taylor can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Taylor's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Pitney keeping moving, preventing Taylor from controlling successfully.

Taylor stays in close to Pitney's body and controls the position.

Jake Taylor has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Taylor throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Pitney stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Pitney shoots and misses
and Taylor counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Pitney shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Taylor sprawls well. Taylor wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Pitney gets slowly back to his feet.
Pitney dives in and grabs Taylor's left leg, looking for a takedown. Taylor pushes down on Pitney's head and hops out.

No joy there for Taylor, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Taylor throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Taylor thuds his right hand into Pitney's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Pitney dodges the punch combination from Taylor.
Taylor dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

Taylor connects with a body shot that sends Pitney's belly button to the back.
Pitney has his takedown stuffed
and Taylor counters with a nice uppercut.
Pitney is breathing heavily.
Taylor thuds a left hand into Pitney's body.
Taylor throws an overhand right that drops Pitney like a sack of potatoes! Taylor dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!
