PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tony Flash (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Turock Rio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rio has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tony Flash!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Turock Rio!
The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Patrick Alders and Radbod Blank.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Flash connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.

It looks like Turock Rio has been cut.
Rio lands a nice looking kick to the body. Flash takes a step back to recover.
Flash lands a jab to the head.
Flash dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Rio looks gassed!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Rio misses with a kick to the body.
Flash throws a series of punches but Rio moves out of range.

Flash feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Rio sprawling to the canvas! Rio rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Flash finish him?!

Rio is rocked!
Rio glances at the clock... BAM! Flash nails him with a big right hand! A momentary lapse in concentration sends Rio crashing to the mat! The referee steps in and this one is over! Damn, Rio is out of it, he thinks the ref is his opponent!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:27 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Tony Flash!
After the fight, Tony Flash was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
