Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between da da (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ethan Lachlan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lachlan comes into a darkened arena with his song building. 3am by Eminem kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Lachlan has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Ethan Lachlan has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with da da's chin.

The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Donatello Bradman and Winston Howard.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
da drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Lachlan looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
da advances position into side control!
da wants to lay and pray for a moment but Lachlan keeps working.
da is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Lachlan has escaped the position, nice work there.
da has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
da throws a leg kick but Lachlan sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Excellent takedown into side control there by da.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
da tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
The referee asks da politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. da prefers to stall for the moment though.

da gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!
Lachlan avoids the body shot from da.
da shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Lachlan is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
da takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
da lands a nice shot to the head.

da has hold of Lachlan's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Lachlan manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

da throwing shots but Lachlan is blocking nicely.
da is thwarting Lachlan's attempts to control the position.
da is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Lachlan sees it coming and defends easily.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Lachlan is in all sorts of trouble here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Lachlan fails in his attempt to clinch.
Lachlan stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Lachlan wants it to stay on the feet.
Lachlan throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
da wants to clinch.
da throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Lachlan was covering up waiting for the punch and da finishes the takedown easily into guard.
da stands and steps away. Lachlan gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Lachlan stuffs the takedown attempt from da. da gets slowly back to his feet.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

da shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

Lachlan is trying to get back to full guard.

da is taking a breather. Lachlan says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Lachlan wants to control but da is having none of it.
