Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ghgh Fgfg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jesse Boss (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Ghgh Fgfg!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jesse Boss!
The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Ben Zyskovitsi and Roosa Järviläinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fgfg stuffs the takedown attempt from Boss. Boss gets slowly back to his feet.

Ghgh Fgfg has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jesse Boss.

Fgfg working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Boss doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Boss manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Boss would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Fgfg is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Fgfg uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Fgfg shoots in for a takedown but Boss shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Fgfg shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Boss as he jumps to the side.

Fgfg closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Fgfg really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Fgfg successfully pulls guard.

Fgfg is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
Come on Fgfg - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.

Boss tries to pull guard but Fgfg holds him up against the cage and eventually Boss drops back down to his feet.
Fgfg has had enough of the clinch but Boss keeps him there for the moment.
Fgfg stops a takedown attempt from Boss.
Boss fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Boss looks gassed!
Fgfg is trying to break the clinch but Boss is controlling him.

Fgfg jumps into guard, dragging Boss to the mat.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Fgfg looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Boss must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Fgfg is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

That's time! Fgfg's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Boss throws a left and a right that both miss

and Fgfg counters with a single leg into guard. Boss didn't expect that.
Fgfg advances to half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Boss pushes Fgfg off but Fgfg dives into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Fgfg staying calm.

Fgfg is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Boss has escaped the position, nice work there.

Fgfg tries for a kimura but Boss is defending well.
Boss tries to control the position but he's not in luck - Fgfg easily slips into full mount!
Fgfg will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Boss is desperately trying to improve his position but Fgfg has a good base and remains in mount.
Boss is breathing heavily.
Boss tries to hold on but Fgfg postures up.
Fgfg thowing shots but they're missing.

Ghgh Fgfg overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Fgfg throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Boss because Fgfg loaded up on that one.

Fgfg is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Boss can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Fgfg throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.

Fgfg is working for a guillotine from mount but Boss frees his head quite easily.

Fgfg seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Boss for as long as he can get away with.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! And we move into the final round!


Boss lands with a shot to the body.
Boss avoids the head kick by Fgfg.
Boss misses with a takedown attempt - Fgfg sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Fgfg on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Fgfg shoots in looking for a takedown but Boss manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Fgfg's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Boss looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Ghgh Fgfg is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Boss has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Fgfg throws a right and a left that Boss avoids nicely.

Boss takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Fgfg shoots in looking for a takedown. Boss tries to sprawl out of it but Fgfg keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Boss manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Fgfg throws a low kick, looking for Boss's leg but Boss calmly moves out of range.

Fgfg looks to throw an elbow but misses.
Fgfg is trying to push Boss away but Boss has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Fgfg, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
