Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ishyrun Thalis!
The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Russell Pearce and David Schapiro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thalis just misses with a punch to the body.
Thalis lands a right hook to the body.
A looping hook to the body misses from Thalis. Leal does a little dance to reset his feet.
Ishyrun Thalis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Thalis lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Leal at a distance.
Leal lands a leg kick that knocks Thalis off balance momentarily.
Thalis looks to land a left hand but Leal moved out of range nicely.
Thalis fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Leal manages to avoid it.

Leal shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Thalis's guard.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Leal uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Thalis.

Leal fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Thalis sprawls well initially but Leal persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Leal seems to be working for a kimura but Thalis defends the submission attempt.
Thalis manages to get to full guard.
Thalis is trying to keep Leal in close.
Leal really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Leal has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Ishyrun Thalis has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Thalis postures up and lands a big shot to Leal's brow.
Leal avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Thalis wants to get up but he can't break Leal's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Thalis accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Thalis wants to control from the top but Leal keeps moving.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Ishyrun Thalis will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Leal uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Thalis.
Leal dives in and grabs Thalis's left leg, looking for a takedown. Thalis pushes down on Leal's head and hops out.

Thalis punishes Leal's body with a nice straight punch.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Thalis scores with a sloppy right hand. Leal should have avoided that one.
A jab lands there for Thalis.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Leal takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Oh Leal is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Thalis connects with a superb combination that knocks Leal out cold! The referee charges across the mat and tackles Thalis before he can land any more shots to the unconscious Leal!
