Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ami Dent (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Avon Stringer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dent comes into the arena with DJ Madman - Meisje zo lelijk als de nacht blaring out of the sound system. Stringer has chosen The Loner as his entrance music. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 35 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Avon Stringer!
The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Illya Tyunina and Ivan Kurochkin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stringer feints and then cracks Dent's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Dent down.
Stringer is looking to land body kicks.
Dent uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Stringer has time to react.
Stringer thows a body shot but no joy.
Dent connects with a looping right hand.
Stringer takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Stringer bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Dent closes the distance and clinches.
Dent is looking to take this one to the mat.
Stringer pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Dent is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Dent prevents a body shot from Stringer.
Stringer blocks a body shot from Dent.
Stringer lands a right hand.

Dent is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body.
Dent gets through Stringer's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Dent drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Stringer gets the underhooks and prevents it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ami Dent. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Stringer misses with a punch on the inside.
Stringer lands a nice elbow.
Dent stalls.

Dent has picked Stringer up - he's going for a ride! Dent dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Stringer is pressing down on Dent's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Stringer is controlling Dent's posture.
Dent is looking to advance position but Stringer has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!
Stringer lands a nice shot to the head.
Stringer tries to control but Dent wriggling away.
Stringer prevents Dent from getting the reversal.
Stringer landing strikes from the mount and Dent is in trouble!
Dent is working to get back to half guard.
Stringer trying to control but Dent is having none of it.

Dent is desperately trying to improve his position but Stringer has a good base and remains in mount.
Dent holds of for dear life.
Stringer breaks from Dent's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Dent can't escape the position.
Stringer lands a heavy elbow.
Dent really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Stringer controlling from mount.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Stringer tries to control but Dent wriggling away.
Dent tries to reverse the position but Stringer maintains control.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Dent sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
Dent moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Dent controls Stringer momentarily but Stringer frees himself.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Dent is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Dent can't keep his opponent in guard - Stringer advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Ami Dent will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Good shot there by Stringer.
Dent lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Stringer circles away quickly and effectively.
Stringer with a jab.
Dent lands a right hook to the body.
Dent dodges the punch combination from Stringer.
Stringer looks to score with a jab to the body but Dent is just out of range.
Dent tries to bum rush Stringer with a series of wild strikes but Stringer uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Dent tries to clinch up but Stringer circles away and keeps his distance.
Dent keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Dent manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Stringer on his heels. He'll look to pass Stringer's guard now, I'm sure.
Stringer wants to control the position but Dent says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.
Stringer tries to roll over but Dent keeps him under control.

Dent has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Stringer defend it? Dent steps over the head and cranks it - Stringer is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Dent!
