Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Daniel Cesar and Matheus Silva.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tavarez slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
It looks like Pablo Mouqinho has been cut.
Mouqinho takes one to the side of the head.
Tavarez jabs at Mouqinho's body.
Tavarez connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Mouqinho takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Tavarez lands an overhand right.
Tavarez moves into range and clinches up with Mouqinho.
Tavarez pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Ariobaldo Tavarez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Mouqinho misses with a takedown attempt
and Tavarez counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
A solid leg kick lands there for Tavarez.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Tavarez lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Tavarez clinches up against the cage.
Tavarez pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Tavarez fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Mouqinho looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Tavarez lands with a big left! Mouqinho is wobbled badly! Tavarez comes in with a flurry of punches and drops Mouqinho to the floor. The ref jumps in to save him from unneccessary punishment.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Ariobaldo Tavarez!
Our winner, Ariobaldo Tavarez, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
