Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Anwar Sadat (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eugene Hall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Eugene Hall will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Anwar Sadat!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Eugene Hall!
The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, Paul Tew and Colin Fotheringham.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hall lands with a good body shot.
Sadat uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Hall.
A slow jab from Hall misses its intended target.
Nice defenses there by Sadat.
Hall misses with the combination.
Hall lands a nice shot to the body.
Hall connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Sadat momentarily.
Hall throws a right and a left that both miss.
Hall misses with a two punch combination.

Sadat closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Hall did well to prevent Sadat getting side control.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Sadat is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!

Hall tries to lock up and control but Sadat gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Sadat jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Hall is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Hall and Sadat has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Sadat wants to control but Hall is keeping him busy.

Sadat looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Sadat tries to advance position but instead Hall slips a leg back in to half guard.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Hall looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.

Sadat is looking to take a break and control but Hall is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Sadat is working for a submission of some sort.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hall trying to control but Sadat postures up.
Sadat passes to side control.
Sadat trying to control the action but Hall is working from the bottom.

Sadat tries to advance to mount but Hall denies him.
Hall is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Sadat off and has taken his back!
Sadat tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!
Hall looking to control but Sadat is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Sadat manages to regain half guard. Good work.
Sadat is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Hall stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Sadat swivels though and keeps the full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Anwar Sadat will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Hall throws a hook but Sadat avoids it easily.
Sadat steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Hall.
Hall connects with a good right hand that stumbles Sadat. Sadat circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Sadat gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Hall.

Sadat is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Hall's half guard.
Sadat is taking a breather. Hall says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Sadat wants to pass the guard but Hall is defending well.
Sadat is looking to take a break and control but Hall is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Sadat trying to mount his opponent but Hall defends it.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
