Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mike Vallely (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lasi Kukko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vallely kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is CKY - 96 Quite Bitter Beings. Lasi Kukko has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Mike Vallely's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, Daniel Bishop and Richard Clark.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kukko throws a nice looking combination but Vallely bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Kukko loads up on a big right hand but Vallely slips the punch.
Vallely misses with a straight right.
Vallely throws a chopping leg kick but Kukko manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Vallely slips a jab from Kukko.
Kukko fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Vallely misses with a straight left.
Kukko fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Vallely has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Kukko closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Vallely did well to prevent Kukko getting side control.

Vallely is controlling Kukko's trapped leg to prevent Kukko from advancing to side control.
Kukko thows a huge punch but Vallely dodges it nicely.

Kukko seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Vallely does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Kukko is just content to waste time from the top position. Vallely takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

A slapping body kick lands there for Vallely.
A nice inside leg kick there by Kukko. That's going to slow Vallely down.

Kukko isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Vallely stacks Kukko on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Vallely!

enabling Vallely to counter with a crisp jab.
Good standup being displayed there by Vallely as he connects with a hook.

and Vallely counters with a stiff right hand.

Kukko misses with a few strikes there.
Kukko throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Vallely tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Kukko is in Vallely's guard.
Kukko drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Vallely manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Kukko has Vallely in his guard.

Kukko throws his legs up looking for a submission but Vallely uses it to pass to side control.
Kukko takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
You can see the frustration on Kukko's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Vallely in side control, just content to control the action for now.

Kukko tries to buck Vallely off but Vallely is having none of it.

Lasi Kukko is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Kukko is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Vallely jumps into side control!

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Mike Vallely.
I think Kukko has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
