Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Hernan Cortes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Knuckle Stone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cortes comes to the cage accompanied by Hard to see. Stone has chosen Gimme Shelter as his entrance music. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, Richard Clark and Steven Brown.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stone throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Cortes sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Stone is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Cortes.
Stone scores with a jab. Cortes acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Stone, right into the meat.
Stone digs a good body shot into Cortes's ribs.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Stone.
Cortes misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Stone.
No luck for Cortes with that takedown attempt.
Cortes throws a hook but Stone blocks it.
The fighters circle momentarily. Stone darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Stone is staying active underneath Cortes, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Stone takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Cortes fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Stone looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Cortes avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Cortes moves in looking to clinch but Stone pushes him off.
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Stone throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Cortes on the side of the head.

Cortes feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Hernan Cortes.
