Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between ZyD XV (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aj Alexander (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). ZyD XV could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Aj Alexander's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, ZyD XV!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Aj Alexander!
The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Micheangelo Fripello and Josh West.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
XV is looking to clinch but Alexander is avoiding it.
Alexander misses with a body kick.
Alexander throws a combination but it was largely blocked by XV.
Alexander tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but XV paws at him with a jab and circles away.

XV moves into range and clinches up with Alexander.
XV content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Still in the clinch, XV scores with a nice short uppercut.
Alexander on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Alexander is looking for a takedown up against the cage. XV gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Alexander has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. XV is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Alexander tries to pull guard but XV won't allow it.
ZyD XV has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Aj Alexander.

A frustrated look appears on Alexander's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Alexander is trying to drag XV to the mat but XV just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

XV tries to land a knee to the head but Alexander blocks with his arms.

Alexander decides to pull guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
XV wants to stand but Alexander is controlling his posture from full guard.
XV controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
XV wanted to stand there but Alexander had control of the position.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Aj Alexander.
XV tries to clinch but Alexander moves out of range.
XV checks a low kick from Alexander.
Horrible takedown by Alexander or perhaps it was just good defense by XV which made him look bad.
Alexander tries to score a power double leg takedown but XV sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Alexander somewhat.
Alexander looks gassed!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

XV moves into the clinch.
Alexander tries to pull guard but XV forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

ZyD XV dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Alexander tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but XV swivels and escapes.

XV takes the fight into the clinch.
XV stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
XV stops a takedown attempt from Alexander.
XV is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Alexander is defending well for now.

Alexander escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. XV gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
XV knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Alexander on the ground.

XV closes the distance and pushes Alexander back into the cage.
XV lands a hook to the side of the head.
Alexander takes an elbow to the temple.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Alexander tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
ZyD XV has scored more points in the clinch so far.

Alexander wants a takedown but no success here.
XV using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Alexander has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Alexander's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.

Alexander has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by XV after a bit of a struggle.

Alexander wants to get back to striking at distance but XV won't allow it.
XV struggles to land a body shot inside as Alexander controls his hands.
XV lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

XV wants to hit a switch here but Alexander passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for XV there!

BOOM! Alexander connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Alexander is going oldschool here, as he tries to force XV to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so XV shrugs it off.
XV is looking to improve his position but Alexander isn't that keen on the idea.
XV is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
Alexander scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Alexander won't let XV get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.

Alexander wants to finish this one by submission but XV is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Alexander.
Alexander takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
XV tries to improve his position but instead Alexander has taken his back!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
XV tries to roll but Alexander sticks to his back.

XV is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet.

Alexander sinks in the hooks and is looking for the choke. He's got it! XV taps out!
