Coming up we have a super heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Jon Hess (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Junior Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Hess might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Curl Of The Burl. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Johnson misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Hess looks to land a body kick but Johnson moved away.
Johnson throws a right and a left that both miss.
Hess goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.

The fight stays on the outside here - Johnson looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Johnson ducks into a a hook from Hess and goes down! He looks in a bit of a mess; will he beat the count?! 4,5,6,7,8 - he's up and looking to carry on! The referee looks into his eyes and sees that he's OK to continue!

In his post fight interview, Jon Hess started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
