Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Lee Henry!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ewert Lauringer!
The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Dmitry Maklakov and Vladimir Khabensky.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lauringer keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Henry looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Lauringer is fending him off so far but Henry persists. Nope, Lauringer circles away and we're back to standing.
Lauringer uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Henry.
Henry rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Lauringer counters with a nice body shot.
Good exchange - Lauringer coming out on top.
Lauringer scores with the left hand. Henry knows he should have avoided that one.
Henry scores with a jab to the head.
Henry will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lee Henry. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Lauringer connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Henry's hands.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Henry is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Lauringer's half guard.
Lauringer is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Henry throws a strike but Lauringer avoids it easily and moves to full guard.

Lauringer is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
Henry postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Lauringer can do anything to dispel that myth.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Henry accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Lauringer really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Henry. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Lauringer wants to stand and escape but Henry is having none of it.
Henry stands up over Lauringer, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Lauringer has momentary wrist control but Henry slips an elbow through the middle.
Henry passes Lauringer's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Henry thows a huge punch but Lauringer dodges it nicely.
Henry thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Lauringer's head.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Henry lands a nice short elbow.
Lauringer avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Henry.
Lauringer is looking to control Henry's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Lauringer avoid being mounted?
Henry not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Lauringer keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Lauringer has his hands clasped together around Henry's back. He's all about the action.
Henry working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Henry lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Henry looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Lauringer with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Henry passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Lauringer!
A nice elbow there by Henry.
Henry can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Lauringer is looking to escape.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Henry has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Lauringer's face.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Lee Henry dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Henry misses with the combination.
Lauringer throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Lauringer slips a straight right by Henry.
Henry uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Lauringer.
Henry ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Lauringer moves away.
Henry motions for Lauringer to come forward. Henry throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Henry has a takedown stuffed.
Left hook, right uppercut from Henry.
Lauringer takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Henry throws a right hand that misses
and Lauringer counters with a three punch combo that has Henry backing up. Henry nods at Lauringer to acknowledge the strikes.
Lee Henry seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Lauringer lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Henry ducks right into an uppercut from Lauringer.


Henry is rocked!
Henry tries to get into range but Lauringer steps to the side and lands a beautiful hook that drops Henry! He's faceplanted into the mat, ass in the air... he's out cold! That's an image he won't want to show his grandkids when he gets older! Lauringer scores the big KO victory!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:11 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Ewert Lauringer!
