Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Spinner Mason (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Loko Soldati (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Spinner Mason!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Loko Soldati!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Robert Douchet and Ian Loll.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck with that takedown attempt from Soldati.

Mason closes the distance and pushes Soldati back into the cage.

Mason tightens his grip and picks Soldati up, before dumping him to the ground. Soldati manages to land in guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Soldati is working an open guard so Mason takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Mason shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Mason showed some decent athleticism there.
Mason works his foot free and advances to mount.
Soldati is wriggling around trying to escape.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Soldati tries to hold on but Mason pushes him away.
Soldati might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Mason kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Soldati is looking to improve his position but Mason isn't that keen on the idea.

Soldati keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Mason sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
Mason unloads with some shots from mount but Soldati bucks and avoids them well.
Soldati is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Mason throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Soldati because Mason loaded up on that one.
Mason thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Soldati is looking to improve his position but Mason isn't that keen on the idea.

Mason trying to control but Soldati is having none of it.

Mason is keen to just control but Soldati is a slippery customer.

Mason is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Soldati sees it coming and defends easily.
Soldati wants to improve his position but Mason is controlling well.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Soldati is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Nice sprawl there from Mason as Soldati shoots in.
Soldati should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Mason takes the fight into the clinch.
Mason throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Soldati jumps guard but Mason stands there with Soldati around his waist. Soldati gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Soldati tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Mason just stands there and leans against the cage.
Spinner Mason has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Loko Soldati.
Good anti-grappling being displayed by Soldati as Mason tries to tie him up.
Soldati is looking to control Mason's arms but Mason gets an underhook and turns him. Now Soldati has his back to the cage.
Soldati tries to pull guard but Mason holds him up against the cage and eventually Soldati drops back down to his feet.
Soldati creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.

Soldati postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Mason looks a forlorn figure.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Soldati lands with some strikes.

Mason is bucking up trying to escape but Soldati cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Soldati pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Loko Soldati has got the better of the ground game so far.
BOOM! Soldati connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Soldati postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Mason looks a forlorn figure.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Loko Soldati showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Mason got a little sloppy there for a moment and Soldati has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Mason has managed to get both his arms back between Soldati's legs - danger averted.

Soldati had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Mason defends it easily.
Mason won't allow Soldati to get back to his feet.

Soldati manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Mason manages to get himself to full guard.

Soldati avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Mason utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Soldati pushes down on Mason's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Soldati wants to take a breather but Mason is having none of it.

Mason keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Mason is looking to improve his position.
Soldati is looking to take a break and control but Mason is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Soldati is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Soldati lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Soldati thows a huge punch but Mason dodges it nicely.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Soldati lands a nice short elbow.
Mason is striking from the bottom but he's now found himself mounted! Oh dear - not enough focus on defense there.

Mason is wriggling around trying to escape.
Soldati working away from the top, dropping strikes.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Soldati lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Spinner Mason has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Loko Soldati comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Soldati has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
