Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lennon Gazzola (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fernando Pontes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fernando Pontes will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Pontes bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Pontes working the head with strikes.
Gazzola is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Pontes moves into full mount!
Gazzola prevents Pontes from taking his back.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Gazzola tries to hold on but Pontes pushes him away.
Gazzola knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Pontes on the ground.
Pontes tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Pontes cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

It looks like Lennon Gazzola has been cut.

Pontes is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Gazzola can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Pontes postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Gazzola looks a forlorn figure.

Lennon Gazzola's cut is getting worse.

Pontes lands a big shot there that rocks Gazzola but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Gazzola is desperately trying to improve his position but Pontes has a good base and remains in mount.
