Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Kris Jakua!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Van Der Weed!
The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Aafke Stam and Wagner Zegers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jakua throws a body punch but Weed moves out of range.
Weed doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Jakua counters with an inside leg kick.
Jakua misses the body punch
letting Weed counter with a right hand.
Weed closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Weed looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Weed has an Americana. Jakua didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Weed is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Weed hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Van Der Weed!
