Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Diogo Pinto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ariobaldo Tavarez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Pinto might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Do you really want to hurt me. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pinto throws a leg kick but Tavarez sees it coming and moves out of range.

Pinto throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Tavarez tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Pinto is in Tavarez's guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Tavarez is pulling down on Pinto's head. It's preventing any offense from Pinto, at least for the moment.
Pinto stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Tavarez swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Tavarez really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Pinto. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Tavarez is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Tavarez can't keep his opponent in guard - Pinto advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Pinto misses with a head shot. Tavarez uses the momentum to regain guard.

Pinto tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Pinto has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Pinto cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
