PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Trang Troc (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Flavius Aetius (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Troc might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Dr. Octagon - Real Raw. The key to victory for Trang Troc has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A solid leg kick lands there for Troc.
No luck for Aetius with that takedown attempt.
Aetius moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Troc connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Troc stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Aetius.
Troc blocks a head kick by Aetius.
Aetius throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Troc will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Aetius on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Aetius shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Troc defends it nicely.
Troc walks forward, straight into a front kick from Aetius.

Troc lands a head kick. Aetius smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

Aetius shoots in looking for a takedown but Troc manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Aetius's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Trang Troc has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Flavius Aetius.
Aetius pivots, looking for a leg kick but Troc is out of range and Aetius settles back down.

Aetius throws a front kick aimed at Troc's knee but Troc avoids it well.
Troc throws a jab but it's blocked by Aetius.

Troc avoids the head kick by Aetius.
Troc is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Aetius.
Troc moves in looking to clinch but Aetius pushes him off.

Aetius feints and then cracks Troc's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Troc down.

Aetius is trying desperately to land a takedown but Troc is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Aetius.
Aetius shoots in but no luck this time.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Troc tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Aetius manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Troc tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Aetius was well out of range. Poor timing from Troc.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Aetius tries to score a power double leg takedown but Troc sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Aetius somewhat.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Aetius lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Troc has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Troc and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Troc looks to land a right hand but Aetius moved out of range.
Troc tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Aetius paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Troc moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Troc keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Aetius closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Troc knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Aetius on the ground.

Aetius tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Aetius has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Aetius is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Troc knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Aetius connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Troc some visible discomfort.

Troc scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Aetius doesn't seem bothered though.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Troc is on top in guard.
