Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Larry Jef (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Arkasha Ukupnik (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ukupnik is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Drop the World. Larry Jef could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Arkasha Ukupnik's chin.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Arkasha Ukupnik!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, George Francis and Cecil Peabody.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ukupnik walks into a straight right hand from Jef.

Ukupnik closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Jef is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Jef knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Ukupnik on the ground.

Ukupnik working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Jef really is a fat lump.
Ukupnik tries to advance to mount but can't.

Ukupnik is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Jef is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Ukupnik works to advance to full mount. Jef defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
Jef is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Ukupnik prevents Jef from getting the reversal.

Ukupnik fails to move to back control.

Ukupnik is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Jef can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Ukupnik forces the positional change into back control.

Ukupnik is persistently looking for the submission but Jef is defending it well.
Ukupnik tries to get the hooks in deep but Jef pushed the leg off.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Jef is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.

Ukupnik is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.

Ukupnik is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Jef has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Ukupnik has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Jef taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Ukupnik doesn't care though - he's delighted!
