The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Albert Achterberg and Wagner Zegers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stepp misses with a lunging right hand
and BeefHooked counters with a head kick.
Decent striking displayed by Stepp there.
BeefHooked slips under a jab from Stepp.
BeefHooked takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Stepp tests BeefHooked's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Stepp throws a lazy right hand but BeefHooked sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Stepp connects with a good right hand that stumbles BeefHooked. BeefHooked circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
BeefHooked throws a sloppy head kick and Stepp moves out of range easily.
BeefHooked rushes Stepp and presses him up against the cage.
Stepp looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Stepp managing to block the knees to the body from BeefHooked.
Stepp pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Stepp blocks a head kick by BeefHooked.
BeefHooked slips under a jab.
Stepp stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Stepp misses with a straight left.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Stepp lunges at BeefHooked with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by BeefHooked's hand.
BeefHooked throws a right and a left that Stepp avoids nicely.
Stepp misses the jab.
Steven Stepp seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Stepp looks to land a left hand but BeefHooked moved out of range nicely.
BeefHooked tries to move into range but Stepp moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
BeefHooked is rocked!
I'm just looking down at my notes here and I see that.... oh! Stepp has cracked BeefHooked with a big right, followed by a left! He's out on his feet! Stepp lands another huge swinging hook and BeefHooked tumbles to the canvas! The ref dives in to save BeefHooked, before Stepp can land any more shots!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:28 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Steven Stepp!
In his post fight interview, Steven Stepp started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
