enabling Steele to counter with a crisp jab.
Steele bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Kovalenko connects with a right hand. Steele shakes it off.

It looks like Dan Steele has been cut.
Steele takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Kovalenko lands a leg kick that knocks Steele off balance momentarily.

Kovalenko pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Steele back to the cage. Kovalenko follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Nikolai Kovalenko seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kovalenko lands a big right hand and follows it up with an uppercut. Oh and another big punch and a knee - Steele can't take much more of this! Another big shot to the jaw from Kovalenko and Steele drops to the floor. Beaten and bloodied - he had enough there. A vicious beatdown by Kovalenko.
